  • That is the correct area for you to feel pain for appendicitis. Or, at least it sounds like it. Try finding a photo on the internet that can show you where it is, then try probing it - basically, poke it with your finger. It will hurt quite a bit if it's appendicitis. In any case, if you're even slightly unsure, you should go to hospital and get checked out. It's better to be safe.

  • If you still have the pain then you could have appendicitis. It generally starts as a dull ache and gets progressively worse. Try to press where you feel the pain - if it becomes sharp then you need to seek emergency medical attention. A ruptured appendix is life threatening. Basically appendicitis is caused because the appendix fills up with toxins and pus - if it bursts you definately don't want that loose in your abdomen. If you are still in pain now then get to the emergency room - noone will laugh at you for being cautious.
  • When I had appendecites, I had a high fever - pain that was BEYOND belief (but my fever was so high, that I was delerious and kept thinking it would go away by itself), and I kept drinking 7-up. I was also throwing up and had the worst case of direha ever. If you press on your side, and release, and the pain gets worse...that could be a symptom.
