A denomination is a sect or particular type of Christianity such as Baptist, Catholic, or Lutheran. A non-denominational church seeks to appeal to a broad spectrum of people by not classifying themselves as one specific denomination.

A denomination is a division of Christianity, such as Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, Catholic, etc. The doctrines and beliefs of all denominational churches vary some, but are usually fairly constant throughout each denomination. A non-denomination church does not classify themself as any of these groups. For some non-denomination churches the goal is to appeal to a wider group of people, but for other groups it is more about believing what is said in the bible and not believing all of the doctrines denominational churches have added to the scripture.
