Celebrity Big Brother: Do you think that certain house mates are being racist towards Shilpa Shetty?

    I don't watch that trash, and neither will this latest scam make me want to. I believe, though, from the snippets that I have seen, that there IS institutionalised bullying within that household, mostly from that woman who was in the house before, and her mother (whose only claim to fame is having a daughter who was a previous BB contestant), although the others appear to have joined in. The fact that a 'hands off' approach has been adopted means that this can remain a talking point for some time, giving inflated ratings to the programme.

    Agreeing to enter the 'house' was a mistake for Shilpa. She is an A rate star, whereas the others are all has-beens and never-weres, and they are jealous of her, plain and simple. They degenerate to gutter tactics to feed their overactive egos, by attacking a foreigner and telling her "you can't even speak proper English". That disgusts me and is highly offensive. So, yes, I believe they are being racist and bullies, and I think the programme should just be axed.

    No. Shilpa Shetty was treated like and lived like a goddess in Mumbai and has been forced to slum it with the rest of them. She's ticked off practically everyone in the house, causing the other housemates to retaliate in harsh words. Racist comments is not racism. Racism is where you treat someone differently due to their race, the other housemates are not treating her harshly because of her race but because she is so bloody annoying.

    It isn't bullying either. Bullying is unprovocated, what they are doing is provocated. Who really goes into a house with 9 strangers and starts complaining that someone has used a couple too many stock cubes? Especially when she wasted an entire chicken by undercooking it! She complains all the time that people are seing her without any make-up on, when quite frankly this isn't an interview it is reality!

    From what I've read of Shilpa, she needs to be knocked off her peddlestool and brought back down to Earth.

    I suppose the most relevant question is not what you are asking but how the hell has this got front page? Are there no more important matters in the world than one woman receiving a little too harsh stick from her peers?
