Cat are a bit like people in that some have big appetites and other don't.

I have two cats, one eats everything he can get his hands on, and the other is skinny (and small) and only eats dry food & water. It has taken 6 years of experimenting with wet food for her to eat any, and even then she only eats a little bit some nights.
As long as your cat is not unhealthily underweight (which may surprise you how thin they can get before this is the case) I wouldn't worry.
If you are concerned I would go to the vet - they are the only ones that really know.

Perhaps your cat just had "lean genes". As long as he eats and gets a clean bill of health from the vet, you should not be overly concerned. Be happy that your cat isn't up in your face everytime you are eating looking for a hand-out, it can be quite annoying.

Do you have a picture of your kitty? He sounds pretty.
