I don't find it weird, I find it unfortunate. Expectations for beauty in this world are so warped. I would rather be shown a 'true' picture. Besides, unless they live in isolation, the truth will come out sooner or later.

That's sad, if someone is reduced to be doing that to "improve" themself.

The only way I could make myself look good in Photoshop would be to paste a good looking guy's face on top of mine.

Not really. It's fun to do sometimes, and not everyone looks good in a photograph - touchups are sometimes necessary :p
