There was a point where I was, I think, because I was homeschooled so I spent alot of time on the computer anyway and even after I'd finished my work, I was still on there. At this point in my life, I DO spend a nice amount of time on the internet, but addiction isn't the word I'd use.

You scored a total of 22 Internet addiction possible Based upon your responses to this quiz, it appears that you are likely experiencing fairly frequent issues related to your online use. This often occurs when individuals start exploring or using Internet resources (or game playing) to an extreme, without considering balancing them with their real-life needs. Think of it like this... You generally don't spend 5 or 6 hours in front of the television, every night, nearly every day. Most people wouldn't think that's normal. So if you find yourself spending that amount of time online day after day and it's affecting your ability to interact in your real life, you should seek change or additional help.

Hold on, just got IM'd by someone...wait I need to google this question to properly answer...nuts, important email....no. Actually, I'm not really savvy at any of the above

I don't think 'addicted' is the right thing, unless we can say people are addicted to conversation, writing or reading - all things we do on the internet. Sure we should all be out DOING something. And yet most of what we should be doing can also be done on the internet, though often to lesser effect. Meeting people, flirting, debating, idle conversation, learning, teaching...it's all right here. . Certainly it is possible to spend too much time on the internet, but surely how much is too much must vary by person. . And it's not as though we are all just on the verge of doing great things for mankind but are cruelly prevented from doing them by the internet. Mostly when we log off we do something comparably useless. . Me, I like it here.
