The only ventriloquist I have ever come to likeing is Jeff Dunham. I havent ever seen one in person in my life. I dont plan to unless its Jeff. I have a phobia of dolls!!!!!! Seriously I wont sleep with them in the same room. I would double and triple check to make sure my barbies were in a bin or at least the door closed. My mom and sisters have joked about getting me a "Living Dead Doll" or a Chucky doll for a present! They'll get it if they EVER do!

I don't remember when I last saw a ventriloquist's dummy, but your Q reminds me of an odd thing that happened to me, regarding puppets. I was tagging along with a lady friend, while she was looking at houses. We were with the Realtor, and entered a home that was on the market. The home was completely empty, and had a fresh coat of white paint everywhere; everything in the house was painted white.. everything. There wasn't a stick of furniture, or any other form of decoration, that would indicate human habitation. As we entered an empty bedroom, I thought I'd check the closet space. I opened the closet door; it was stark white and empty like the rest of the house, except for one thing. There, sitting on the shelf, smiling at me and alone, was Howdy Doody.... a full sized aged replica of Howdy, perfect in every way. Something like that would fetch a tidy sum at auction... but there he was, the one and only thing left behind... Why? Hmmmmmm....
