People may like seeing men/women in uniform for all sorts of reasons. I would guess that uniform shows authority, independence and confidence. These traits can be attractive.

In Australia we call them bush hats, the formal ones are called slouch hats, beret's are normally worn by commando's

People are different and different things turn them on. I know for alot of women its the idea of a man in uniform type, and some women get highly turned on by a man who is fighting for something they believe in, and some just see it as a stylish kind oh sexy type. Its a preference, and each person has a different preference .

i actually have a pith helmet and also a marine's drill sargeant cover. my friend's dad was in the marines and he past away last february. he gave me some of his dad's stuff.

I don't know about the Army, but for Marines, all hats are "covers". Which kind of hat did you mean specifically?
And I wish I could answer why they look "hot". When my husband wakes me up in the morning to kiss me goodbye, I look at his cover and say, "That's hot." (Ok, no I don't. I never use the word "hot" to express "attractive". He would laugh at me even if I did.)

Also another name for the garrison cap is the "fore and aft cap." There's also a rather rude slang term for it, but I shall not post it here since proper young women do not use that word. :)

Goodness... let me not stand in the way of love! :) The slang word my boyfriend (former Army officer - hoo-ah!) told me it was called was a "C**T cap." Now again, this is for the fore&aft, the one that when folded flat looks like a little rectangle. It might have just been a thing he heard around Ft. Lewis or Benning, so use with caution. :)
