I certainly agree that the killing of animals for consumption is excessive, but I don't think that boycotting meat for said cause really does anything. Maybe it makes some people feel they are doing a difference, but I do believe a little more action than throwing it in people's faces is needed to rectify the matter. There's nothing wrong with eating meat, and we need it. Sure you can do without, but I think there must be better solutions.
So I will continue to eat meat, and I'll continue to like it, ha ha.

I resisted being vegan for a long time because I was financially dependent and I didn't want the negative stigma. PETA gives vegans and vegatarians a bad name.

It's because my family would be too concerned for me if they found out I was not eating meat, and I just can't pass up a home cooked meal. I don't go out of my way to eat meat, except for sushi. I eat leftovers of meat, things that will go in the trash anyway. I am pretty much a vegetarian except for sushi and the meats that are given to me. I also might order a steak once in a while if we go out to a restaurant. Also a trusted source showed me that we should be eating meals that are 20-30% meat and dairy, 70-80% veggies and other healthy stuff.

    Because humans are omnivores.

Because I like the taste of meat.

Because I"m not that keen on many vegetables.

Because many of the vegetarians I've seen always look pasty-faced and anaemic, and are certainly no advert for vegetarianism.

It isn't natural, that's why. Humans are omnivores. Maybe you get off on being the species nazis, but I don't. While we could all stand to eat less meat and we all should fight animal cruelty, to eat an animal is no more of a crime than it is for a cat to eat a mouse. Kids especially should have the omnivore diet to develop into adults who then might choose to be vegetarians. The idea that to eat an animal is cruel is both incredible stupidity and downright unnatural.

I am, and I'm quite happy. I never really liked meat in the first place, so quitting eating it altogether was very easy -- the only problem is the pressure people put on me about it.
