Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a Magnavox 32" TV that is about 8 years old. Today the picture started cutting out at random intervals. The sound stayed on without interruption. Is this a problem with the tube? Is it worth fixing or should I look at replacing it? Thanks..

    damn lol not enough information.

    how does it go off.
does it make a cracking sound then go off
    does it slowley fade away.

if it just fades away getting dimmer til it's gone it is a dry joint on the heaters.

Considering it's age, there is a good chance the tube is going. You can call around and ask some tv repairmen, or maybe its time for a new one.
