    oh man i left a bulletin about him on myspace (yes i use myspace, but i know the difference of myspace and AB).

    anyways, i absolutely can't stand Mencia. Yes, he's racist, and he contradicts himself all the time. Saying how everyone is treated the same, and shouldn't be made fun of, but then does ooold olld not funny stereotype jokes about people. and then, to top it off, he complains for 10 mins how racist the big bad white devils are, when he's being the jerk

    he's not funny, not at all, all his jokes are the same tired thing recycled over and over, and none of his skits or jokes are written by himself or even inspired by him, he simply yells them. And my god does he yell and yell and yell, and complain and yell, and then make fun of "retards". jesus

    this guy has no real exceptional education, yet he brags how smart he is and says something he thinks is intelligent, than says he won't pity how the poor retards don't get his joke. How funny that he himself didn't know his own stupid trivia 5 mins before the writers told him the same joke.

    DIDIDIDI! how annoying, how stupid. he disgusts me

    Very funny!
    And I don't think you can call him racist since he makes fun of ALL races, ALL cultures and ALL socio-economic levels. He never singles out one group for more ridicule than any other. He is (hopefully) teaching us to laugh at oursselves and see how much alike we all are, instead of how different.

    I have not once thought he was funny. He is supposed to be an entertainer, therefore I can not say what is in his heart. To me he is like Whoopie Goldberg or Kathy Griffith. I just do not get it.

    I don't think of Carlos Mencia as funny or racist. He says things to solicit a certain response. SHOCK VALUE if you will. This stems from lack of talent and original material. As well as low self esteem, low cultural pride and awareness as well as misguided value of personal wealth rather social responsibility. His profanity and remarks aren't to add dramatic value or give a profound concept or observation, as with the great comedians Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Or Chris Rock. Mencia makes negative comments about his on community adding to the continual desensitization of negative images and messages in localized groupings as well as society as a whole. Socially irresponsible. That must have been some pitch to convince one to give a glass of drinking water to a culturally battered, economically and socially drowning demographic. Not that it ecuses Mencia but Chappelle, Kat Williams, and Monique as well as others have similar issues. You don't have to agree I just ask you respect my empirical and educated observations. Thank you. :)

    And aware of racist ideas which he uses for shock value to give his jokes a punch. His message is tolerance by showing that everyone is equally susceptible to denigration.

    Most of you people completely miss the definition of a word "racist". Racism - is a belief in inherent superiority of one race over others and that race is a primary determinant of human traits and capacities/abilities. Carlos Mencia, funny (I, personally, do think he is funny) or not, is not a racist. Jokes about races and racial stereotypes are usually quite funny, because stereotypes are not baseless - those are probability tools formed by collective groupthink over the ages.     People who think he's racist plainly don't understand the meaning of the word.
    He takes the piss out of anyone and everyone without any prejudice, he highlights our differences without regard to colour, and that is truly unprejudiced.
    Racism is hating people on the basis of their skin colour, not making jokes about them.
