There are three forms of creating the colored glass peaces.

1] The use of gold over glass:
Metallic gold, in very small concentrations (around 0.001%), produces a rich ruby-colored glass ("Ruby Gold"), while lower concentrations produces a less intense red, often marketed as "cranberry". The color is caused by the size and dispersion of gold particles. Ruby gold glass is usually made of lead glass with added tin.

2] Uniting small peaces of colored glass:
In ancient times, artists learned how to add metallic salts and oxides while they were making the glass to create vivid colors. Gold added to the glass made a cranberry color. Cobalt made blue. Silver made yellow and gold, while copper made green and deep red.

3] The small peaces of colored glass can be led framed to hold these pieces together. Then the led is covered with gold at high temperatures if the gold happens to sparkle to the glass it will create beautiful colors.
