if you are a true artist, you don't make your art for money... you do it because, like breathing, YOU MUST!!!
I agree 100% to Anonymous. Any serious artist makes art because he could not do something else. Yet, it is important to think about the possibility of making a life out of it, and that includes selling art. It is necessary, too. Many practising artists I know are definitely scared about their economic situation, and many are forced to work in "regular" jobs to make a living, but that does not stop them from making art.
The great thing about art is that what one person thinks is awful another thinks its genious. Have no fear when it comes to your art, your art is an extension of yourself. If you do take a go and start creating there are ways to test how other people feel about it, you can advertise your art on our site www.artundiscovered.com and if it sells it sells if it dont you wont loose anything by trying. Id love to see your work when you do try, I absolutly love new and undiscovered artists. Take a look at my site www.artundiscovered.com its full of art from people that have just started out and they are so unique to each artist.
Good luck my friend and remember have no fear hehe
