Well, I reckon you'd have to define 'fast'. But I do beleive you can, if inspired, sit down and write a good book in about the same time it takes to read one . . . having done some writing in my life! ;-P
Its the proofing, though, that seems to take so much time. Then there's the marketing . . . more work, even MORE time . . .
