If she invites the guy on the date, then that's fine. But it depends on the individual couples. Some guys prefer to pay. Some couples prefer to alternate.

I don't think it's a BIG issue. but i do think that the girl should not pay.
If the guy says once let me pay then the girl should be like okay go ahead.
But if the guy does not mention it then ... um... he is broke.

OOO I like your question !!!

Me and my other half have this issue near enough ever week! I don't see why he should pay for everything, although he always wants to. I make sure I always pay half to, although he always says I shouldn't.

Will be interesting to see some of the guys answers on this. :)

Having taken lots of girls on dates, I still feel weird when the girl refuses to let me pay. It just seems like if I'm not paying then its not actually a date. I don't know why I feel this way haha

I always go dutch on my dates,I feel more comfortable this way,and I dont see why he should pay for everything since we're at the same age and it wont be financially easy for him if we dont go dutch.

- Well this is the thing. I am Hispanic and in my culture it is said that a guy should always pay whenever they go out. But I don't believe a guy should always pay. I believe in compromising, and taking turns. Just to help one another but I keep being told that it is bad for a girl to pay...

- Well, traditionally, males were kinda 'expected' to pay. But now most people are aware of how full of shit this is, and it isn't strange to see split pay or alternating.
