Help answer this question below.

How long can sally mae report a late payment on my credit report? I was late back in 2002. I have consolidated my loans and have not been late.

    Your credit history is reported for seven years, so it looks like you've got another couple years to go and then it should drop off your report.

    Always keep an eye on your credit. The bureaus are notorious for inaccurate reporting. Check www.annualcreditreport.com You can get all three of your reports once a year, free of charge.

    i would send a dpa/sar request for account info, then send it to the credit file people to tell them to update it
