If I attempt to fix my telephone line (in my house) and re-wire it back to the box can I get electrocuted?

    Phone lines are low voltage. If someone attempts to call you while you're holding the wires, you'll feel a little bit of a jolt, but not enough to do damage or even hurt (unless you have a Pacemaker or something, then I don't know).

    If you are in the UK then just remove the front of the main box, this will disconnect all the house telephone wiring, leaving just the one socket behind that you can still use.
