Is it true that the moon "Titan" has the same gases and materials as Earth did billions of years ago? Does this mean that in a billion years time there could be life?

Neat. How do you post a clickable image with a lightbox enlargement?
by Jim in a Nautilus COAT on January 5th, 2009
Jim, I believe you just upload the image ( from your computer ) to your answer.
Then when it is clicked, it will enlarge to size.
Also, there is a recurring glitch here, where the image or video wont post. You sometimes have to go back, and then edit your answer, it will go in that time... or it should anyway...
Methane volcanoes? Im totally amazed by this, literally out of this world. They are calling them "cryoVolcanoes", but ...
THEY NEED NAMES!!!
by Chris on January 5th, 2009
They would look amazing in full eruption, they basically erupt Dry Ice...

Do you think its possible for earth to have these Methane Volcanoes considering the earths crust is full of Methane...Just a thought
by CHOOKY is GOLD on January 5th, 2009
Well, I think temperature has a lot to do with it, but, methane has to be more abundant over there. Its a gas giant. We would have frozen magma, I guess. I could be wrong.

I just looked it up and apprantly earth had Methan Volcanoes about 3.5 billion years ago, just before the first signs of life formed. Methan was 1000 times more concentrated in our atmosphere then. But also the Earth's methane concentration has increased by about 150% since 1750.
