I am interested in film making, and i want to know if you want to do a long continuous shot, but you need to do it in two, is there a way to join two shots together and make it look like one continuous shot?

what do you mean like a seamless cut or more of an end of scene fade out start of scene kinda thing

Watch the movie "Children of Men" The last major scene looks like it is one long shot but I learned it was just a very good edit job, so it is possible with some planning

i mean look like one shot. i saw children of men, however, i did not know that it was multiple shots put together. do you know if there is an easier way to do that?

just think of how your eyes work together to see one image. get either two cameras or film two shots close to eachother. then i'm sure digitally stitching them together will be simple

Check out "Rope" by Alfred Hitchcock: the whole film is one shot! Basically he panned across monochromatic objects. But perhaps you are not talking of a pan. In one film he started with a closeup of 2 dancers. The camera backs away, first to reveal the dance floor & other dancers. Then we back away from a window that we've been looking through to reveal a brick wall. He started with the camera against the window & carried the wall with him, dropping it off along the way.

ya der r many ways 2 do so..join institutes lik mumbai film academy,whistling woods and soo on.but dey r 22 expensive.wat u can do is buy an handycan and make small films.u were asking of how 2 join d shots .for ua level use windows movie maker 2 do so.diz field requires a lot of creativity an hard work. the thing dats must in a film is the story or script. its mch mor imp den ne graphics or ne thin in d film.evn i wnna b a film director.best of lck 2 u dude!!
