My russian tortoise is biting the rocks in her habitat. Why is she doing this?

    Maybe she's hungry.
    Make sure she has food at all times.
    Also you should put your tortoise outside often.
    ....very often.
    It's not good for them to be under lamp lights all the time.
    Their shell absorbs sunlight like a sponge does water.
    If the shell doesn't get enough nutrients and vitamins from the sunlight, the shell gets deformities.
    Because when they're outside they snip at different plants and weeds. She could just be curious.
