Mushrooms don't have penicillin in them, penicillin grows on oranges, I believe. However, your train of thought is not silly at all. I started out being allergic to penicillin, when I was six. It was my first known allergy. Many years later, I'm allergic to all fungi, including molds that grow in houses, all antibiotics and all mushrooms. I don't just get itchy either, I get full-blown anaphalaxis. If you don't want to end up not being able to treat a massive infection, I wouldn't be challenging an immune system that already has known allergies to one fungus with things that are closesly related to that allergen.
