Question

Help answer this question below.

I keep getting IMs from people with coho in their screenname. (upsettingcoho, hokeycoho, contrarycoho) They accuse me of iming them first though I haven't and they say really bizzare stuff. (This is on AIM.) Does anyone see any reasoning behind this?

    Yes. You have a stalker.
They keep changing their user/screen name, but only slightly.

    Try blocking them.

It's not a stalker. It's an AIM bot that connects people (it's called Salmoning) randomly, and each of them usually think the other person sent the first IM. Sites like LiveJournal and Twitter have a problem with this. I've heard that if you type $optout the bot will give you the option to be taken off the list. Although, doing that leaves you at risk of looking really weird to a complete stranger. But that's probably better.
