Mann Bracken LLP is a collection law firm. Usually when a collection case is in a collection law firm, they attempt to collect the accounts and sue if no results. They then would initiate post judgment proceedings (wage garnishment, home liens, asset seizure, etc). Alteast while I managed at a collection law in MA, that's what we did.
Can a law firm (coll agency) collect on something that isn't on my cr reports? I was told that I have to prove that the cell phone debt isn't mine (from '01 or '02) and to file a police report by 30 days. This was removed from my cr rep yrs ago. Michigan.

I had to move out because my boyfriend had assaulted me. A collection agency is now trying to collect unpaid rent from me. Any legal rights?

I have a bill collector calling me. I was wondering if I could pay the original debtor instead of the collection agency. The caller said "No", I'm going to guess that it's a lie. Thank you.

UK Law: I have a couple of county court judgements (6 years old) and a debt company have just caught up with me :( do i still ignore it as after 6 years they are destroyed? SOS!

My father is in the hospital and has no insurance. His bill will be large. My question is can they put leins on or take my mother's assets even though his name is on none of her money or her home?(they are married)
