A tire dealer sold my son 205 65 R16 snow tires for a Nissan Altima 250S which came originally with 215 60 R16. The dealer said narrow snows were better. Is this true or was he just trying to sell what he had in stock?

That's the general consensus. It's easier for the tires to move through the snow to the pavement because it doesn't have as large of a footprint. I don't know what difference 10 mm would make though. -
