Help answer this question below.

How can i know whether im in love or just in lust for my friend? i want to be with him so badly and i want him to want me as i want him... i;ve felt like this for 5 years now could it be love or just lust? im a guy aswell by the way.

When I truly love someone........i want the best for them, even if its not me (granted not the easiest thing on the heart..I do want them to want me, but want the best for them and just want them to be happy!)

Lust...to me, is more a physical thing...not caring about the deeper things

I am very sure you are in Love with them. Nobody feels lust for 5 years! if it is just luxuria trust me you'd go looking for it elsewhere if you didn't get it soon enough. But when you are obsessing over the same person for so long you definitely have some emotional attachment to them.
