For me, I think the worst fashion item *EVER* invented (!!!) are any and all low--waist jeans. They will make any girl, regardless of how thin she is, look like she has a fat, flabby waist and a saggy butt complete with "plumbers crack" when she bends over. Thank god they have gone out of style.
As far as "haute coture", I saw this nasty dress that had lumps around the middle. I can't remember the designer but it was reddish and really unflattering. I wish I could find an image.
