What did u think of the movie atonement? starring keira knightley, did anyone think that Briony, as her younger self, was kinda creepy? I kept expecting her to do something really freaky the whole movie.

What, you mean like making up a story to put an innocent man in jail, and then get shipped off to war? Wasn't that creepy enough?

I was hoping she would come clean ... but no, she just ruined several lives. I do admit I didn't see that ending coming. It was a better movie than I was expecting, (I'd probably rate it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10).

Wasn't that the whole point? What a good actress that child must have been to convey the hidden menace of her emerging sexuality, jealousy and 'dark side'. Brilliant film in my eyes, and I love all Ian McKewan's books - they're all a bit on the 'creepy' side! (Have you seen Keira KNightley in 'The Duchess' - another brilliant movie and she plays a great Duchess!)
