    In my opinion Sammy's the better singer. Dave has the attitude and showmanship. I tend to like best the rawness of the Roth era.

    A true Van Halen fan would never even ask that question. Sammy was an alright fill in but nobody compares to DLR with Van Halen.

    well personally sammyiwent to a van halen concert and he held up my sign that was made like the package of van halen 51 50 guitar strings he is definetly a charichter in my opinion

    Sammy Hagar is a better technical singer, but without question David Lee Roth. Roth is the ultimate showman. Hagar is not bad, but Roth is better. I like the first three or four Roth solo albums as well.

    For anyone that is a Hagar fan, check out the first Montrose album. It is awesome.
