I recently got dumped by my bf, I do not know why it happened just the other day he told me he loves me. Today he said " I think it's time for us to go back to being friends. " I don't understand why he wants this and I don't know how to deal with it.

maybe he has a fear of commitment?

maybe something happend that made him realize that hes moving too fast for himself? feel free to ask him what is wrong. i would think that any relationship should have communication........ you may or may not get an answer but at least you tried to be mature about it and figure out what is going on.

otherwise hes wanting to play the field and thinks he can break up with you when someone new comes around and then you will be waiting for him if he changes his mind. just keep that in the back of your mind, hold strong on who you are, what you want out of a relationship, and follow your instincts. i wouldnt want to be a human yo yo........ so keep your eyes open and follow your heart.

You and me both. Mine took me to meet his parents on Thanksgiving and broke up with me the next week.You were friends before?How long did you date? Did you fight alot? It sounds to me like fear. Maybe the relationship was moving to fast for him.From friends to dating is quite a change in status. There had to be signs all along, was he distant? Didyou feel something coming on? I'd say give him space and time. I sent mine an apology note after a oouple weeks and he hasn't responded.How long ago did he break up with you? I'd say the best you can do is keep a journal of how you feel.I really belive if it's to be it will.If anything you can at least get your friend back. Focus right now on how to heal you not the relationship.

- Well, we went out for a year and one month. We were good friends before. He dummped me last monday. We never faught and we don't live far from each other. The day before we broke up he was telling me how he doesn't want are relationship to end. It was such a shock when dumped me, I was speechless. He messaged me yesterday and said he was sorry, and can't explain why he dumped me. Also that he wasnt sure if we could be friends again.

- Give him space.He will explain in time if he ever cared in the first place. I never faught with mine either and he did the same thing but told me I wasn't spritual enough and he didn't feel as he did for me.I think they run when they get scared.Do you have a mutual friend you can trust? Sometimes you can involve a third party but only if you can trust them. What are the people close to you saying?

- Well they don't get why he did either. Now he has called me and said he was sorry, and I could here his mom yelling at him telling him he was stupid for dumping me. He is confused about if him and I are supposed to be together.
