Help answer this question below.

Ive been on the pill for about 4 months now. my period just ended on sunday, so i was on the inactive pills that week. monday morning i was back on the active pill. and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend later that night. chances of being pregnant?

    If I understand you correctly, you ended your period and then had sex on the same day you began your new pill pack? This is not unprotected sex from a pregnancy standpoint, only from an STD standpoint.

    You're using the pill correctly, so your chance of pregnancy would equal the failure rate of your pill, or 2-3%. If you continue to take your pills correctly, and at close to the same time each day, the risk is closer to .5%.

    If you were afraid of pregnancy why have unprotected sex during that time? In any case, the pill was in your system, but there is always a chance of pregnancy. Just see what goes on with your body in the next 2-3 weeks or take a homd pregnancy test in the meantime.
