  • My cat had the same thing, i took him to the vet and it was an abscess, the vet popped it and it was full of pus, he was fine after that. hth
  • Possible diagnoses include an abscess, a cyst, a benign tumor, a malignant tumor, or some type of inflammation. It's not possible for me to say which one is more likely on the information you provide. Consult a veterinarian.
  • I would see the vet, but like the answers said before there are lots of causes that aren't serious. We had one dog that had cysts all over her body and when you touched them they hurt but they were not harmful and she lived for 15yrs... I would ask just to be safe!!
  • Sometimes you can only see the discomfort in hindsight, after the cause is removed.
  • Best to get it checked out by the Vet. My old dog (he's 12) has benign tumours all over him, some bigger than others. They don't bother him at all and they're not malignant... but it was good to hear that from a professional.
  • I heard..if its soft its nothing but if its hard then it might be more, my older dog has big ones the size of golf balls on her :(
