Help answer this question below.

I am looking for some fundraising ideas for a Relay for life team, something unique but doesn't take a lot of start up money. Does anyone have any ideas?

    It depends on where you are raising the $$. When I was part of a United Way fundraising team at work, we had lots of things - 1) we solicited local businesses for items for gift baskets that we raffled off. We would roll the baskets around the different floors of the office and sell tickets. Fair warning though - in Florida you must give, not sell, a single ticket to anyone who asks, otherwise it's considered a lottery and against the law. (It's the 'no purchase necessary' rule, so check your local statutes.) 2) We sold books of "jeans days." Anyone who bought the tickets could wear jeans at work and turn in a ticket to their supervisor. We had people who bought $20 worth just to wear them all month.

    Just a couple of ideas... we had a big office so we made a lot of $$, but I don't know if either one would work in your particular situation. :) Good luck, and thanks for participating in the Relay for Life!!
