Question

Help answer this question below.

I just took our 2005 Ford Explorer to our trusted mechanic to check a "noise" that is coming from what seems to be the front driver's tire side area. The mechanic informed us that our front and rear brakes and rotors need to be replaced.Would this be true?

It's possible but since you didn't describe the noise and my crystal ball happens to be in the shop for maintenance at the moment, it could be anything. Since I don't have the advantage of actually seeing the condition of your brakes, I can't really evaluate them. Either this mechanic is "trusted" or not. Evidently, you don't trust him. Take it somewhere else for a second opinion.
