Help answer this question below.

How do I repair a Sony SLV-D350P DVD/VHS Video player that stalls/freezes in DVD mode and sometimes does not respond to open or close door in DVD mode?

    I turned the machine so that the front side was facing the ground, tapped it a couple of times to release any loose dust. I was going to take it apart to clean the laser eye, but did not want to move the entire tv and cabinet it resides in (over 250 lbs and a mess of cords and wires) to remove the cord and wires. Guess what? DVD player has worked fine since the mysterious laying of hands...
