I think that they might be tempted to flatten the proboscis of the moron with the laser pointer when they were informed that it might blind them. I would gladly hold said moron for as many punches as might be required to improve their personality. . I think that they would be more suitably impressed if you produced a smartphone and proceeded to demonstrate its many features. ;-)

people in 1908 were more forward thinking then you might think. they would be less amazed by the laser pointer and instead would be angry at being painfully flashed in the eyes. #1 reaction, hit you/ knock pointer away #2 reaction, Hit you, hit you some more, kick you. #3 reaction, shoot you. a better question is, how would someone from January 1, 908 ad react.

I dunno. Why don't you go to a nursing home, find yourself a 100-year old man, point the laswer at him and see what he does. Word of caution, I'd stay far away from him if he has a cane in his hand
