OMG!! i am 19 but that is my story to the letter. even the security job!! heres what i am doing and i am not saying it will work but to me at least it is change:
recieving donated computers(now 30) and opeing a repair/resale shop. i found a cheap building and a bussness partner(same situation he is in) and at 100 bucks each for the first month we are trying to start a bussiness.
you could do anything you are good at. bike repair, ect...
1 guy here started a service that drives drunk people home. he got 3 motor scooters($150 each) and they fold up and fit into a trunk. they go to the drunk guy, put the scooter in tha back and drive them home. 20 dollars per ride. he is very seccesful and has 15 scooters now, and as many employees. they are paid commision. college kids who enjoy a little extra $ at a job where they can study between runs.

it is tough but with a little creativity there is hope for us both.

You must stay where you are for the moment, you are earning. Do you have any credentials which would put you in line for a higher placement. Do you really feel a security guard is below you. I would think in todays field, a security guard would be tops in the earning rates at the moment.
