The most common channel STILL used today is 19. But depending on the location of the trucker they will change channels to find out different info on weather, traffic conditions and so on. So the channel he or she is on depends on what they want and were they are at.
It used to be 19..but that may have changed in the past 15 yrs..lol :)
19 is pretty popular, 17 here in cali is used alot for OTR, but on job sites it can vary widely, my channel has been channel 3 for close to 15 years, any job I am on or in control of is required to run channel 3.
Is it possible to run a ham radio and a scanner on the same mobile antenna? What all is needed to accomplish this if it is at all possible?
