  • Good luck. You are just going to have to do it. He will cry for the first three days or so and you will probably cry with him. This will take patience and endurance but eventually he will be ok with it.
  • First off, you do NOT need to let your baby 'Cry it out' in fact, that may only make things worse. What needs to happen is for your son to start to associate his crib with sleeping (not crying, not flipping out) which he does not do right now. Having a calm bedtime routine in his room EVERYNIGHT is a good way to do this. It is also Important that he wakes up in his crib whenever he wakes up, so even if you are rocking him to sleep, when he is constantly waking up in his crib, he starts to associate it with sleeping. A GREAT book to get is called 'The no cry sleep solution' I nursed 2 co-sleepers, one to 11 months and one to 10 months all night long and that book helped the transition a great deal. And now they sleep wonderfuly in their own sleep places and bed time is NOT a battle. Best of luck and good for you for continuing to nurse!
