    I have seen variations of dance in belly..dance is an expression of what you feel inside....that includes what you may wear or your choreography...
    Your limit is your imagination..

    what hat and stick?! those are props usually used by men...but men don't bellydance (i'd hope!).

    the traditional bellydance from egypt/lebanon is for girls...the ladies wear sheer half-naked attire and wrap a scarf around their hips. it depends on which location or style you are dancing because some will wear high heels to bellydance, and others, won't wear any shoes at all.
