What exactly do you mean with "haven't done anything with" the account? Have you withdrawn it in preparation for moving it to another 401(k) or IRA? Have you cashed it out to spend, or taken distribution under a qualifying tax-free provision? Or are you still working for the same employer and simply making contributions, or have you stopped making contributions but retained the account?
Your question is missing too much information to make any kind of intelligent answer.

Where would you put a rollover 401k - a government fixed fund @1.25% or a stable fund @1.75% ? I can't stand the fluctuations!

You're reading I haven't done anything with my 401k yet and it is over $1000 in the account.......will it automatcially cash out if I don't do anything with it after 60 days.
