Hand in your letter of resignation stating that you are giving 2 weeks notice. Most times, you will be dismissed at that point unless they are so desparate to keep you on until they find another employee.

I've never left a job after two weeks, but I have after about 3 months. I sat down with my manager and he gave me my probationary review. When he had finished, I had prepared a review of my own - the reasons that I was not going to continue with the company. In the end, I thanked him for the opportunity. He was very surprised, but I think he did appreciate the feedback.

You should talk to your supervisor and explain that the job does not suit you afterall and that you are sorry but you will be seeking other employment. Then put it in writing, say that you will be leaving on (date) and that it just wasn't the right job for you.

I don' tknow - I accepted a job and now don't want to take it! I wish I knew a polite way to turn it down.
