Yes. Crash diets are unhealthy. You should take it slow and steady to ensure that you lose it and keep it off. Just start cutting back on your calories, eating more fruits and veggies, and drinking lots of water. Throw in some exercise, even just walking for 10-15 minutes a day. Yes and don't starve yourself, it slows down the metabolism and your body will hold the fat, its a defense mechanism if the body thinks you are starving it
As far as I know, crash diets are unhealthy, and the weight rarely stays off.
The way I see it, people don't put on weight quickly - it's a gradual process, so it seems unrealistic to lose it any more quickly than it was gained.
It's hard to give diet advice, as everybody's body chemistry is different, but what worked for me is the food combining diet described in a book called "Dine Out And Lose Weight".
