Not mine, I can't speak for anyone else. Minus 1? That's all you got?

If you eat a lot of carrots (more than you could stomach) over a period of time you would go orange. It is called carotenosis (not kidding), and is caused by a build-up of the compound beta-carotene (a precursor for Vitamin A that gives carrots their orange colour) in the skin and below the skin the fat cells. Vitamin A in large doses can be fatal so I would avoid eating ridiculous amounts of carrots for a sustained period of time :D

Beta-Carotine in carrots gives them their orange color. When it is taken in excess of 20mg a day or thereabouts, it can impart a yellow tinge to the skin.

If you planned to eat a bag (or two or three) full of carrots every day for the next two or three months, you might manage it. Or there is a tanning product extracted from carrots that can do the same things if you use too of the pills or take them over too long a period of time. Or you can peel carrots and rub them on your skin, which will leave an orange stain for ...oh, a day or three, depending on how much you wash and which soap you use. But eating carrots in everyday amounts? Nah! ...They really won't!
-
It is possible but you would need to eat an awful lot of carrots for the level of Carotine -Kerotine level in the blood to turn you Orange
-
Have you ever seen an orange rabbit? Ha! Seriously, Yes if you eat enough of them You could once buy a tablet with a concentrate of beta carotine I think it was called Orabronze after a period of time it would make your skin turn orange they tried to sell it off as a fake tan suppliment.

OMG! thats wat happened to all those ppl!! I thought it was that fake tan stuff!! OMG!!

YES, but not likely. See below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carotene Carotenemia or hypercarotenemia is excess carotene, but unlike excess vitamin A, carotene is non-toxic. Although hypercarotenemia is not particularly dangerous, it can lead to a yellowing of the skin (carotenodermia). It is most commonly associated with consumption of an abundance of carrots, but it also can be a medical sign of more dangerous conditions. A randomised trial into the use of β-carotene and vitamin A for prevention of lung cancer had to be stopped early due to the apparent increase in the incidence of lung cancer in those with lung irritation from smoking or asbestos exposure.[1].

It can...and it happens more than people who have posted may think. It happens alot in babies who are first learning to eat foods...carrots is often something that they love and a few days of 2 jars of carrots a day can do it....they don't turn orange, but they tend to get a yellow tinge to their skin.
-
yes if you eat alot. my son loved baby food carrots and was very orange. it all depends on your body chemistry on how much carrot intake will turn you orange
-
Yes and it produces a condition called Carotenodermia. http://flickr.com/photos/littlelaurel/2305173468/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carotenodermia http://images.google.com/images?q=carotenemia
