  • Wouldn't an editor only subtract words from a manuscript?! Otherwise, he'd demand a 'co-author's' credit?! ;-)
  • Editors take words out. They usually do a read through, mark up your copy and then will sit with you, and see what you purposefully want to keep (miss-spellings, such as in dialogue like, "Thinkin'" rather than, "thinking"). During this process, you'll probably go through another re-write. If your book needs adding, then you might want to hire a ghost writer. Just remember: To write is human...to edit is devine.
