Help answer this question below.

Should there be self-proclaimed 12-year olds asking questions on answerbag? (I clicked on "I'm 13 or over" when I signed up, and I was thinking that must be the minimum age. Is it not?)

    Yes, 13 is the MINIMUM age to be on Ab "legally." Send the profile name to the staff if someone says they are under 13.

    13 is the minimum age on Answerbag, but we have had some twelve year olds and they have reached very high levels with very intelligent answers.

    It is against the rules and if AB found it now Joel says the accounts would be nuked.

    No there shouldn't be but there are. So what? If they cause trouble their accounts will be nuked. Other than that, they're doing no harm, so why not live and let live?

    I think it's a good idea to let kids ask questions here. After all that's what they do. Hang around any kid and you'll end up with 30 questions per hour. Many of which, you won't be able to answer. Plus maybe it will make people think twice about using nasty language or sexually explicit comments.

    It may also improve the spelling and grammar. You should set an example for the kid with polite discourse.
