Personally I think that things would be worse had John Kerry been elected... not that I am too pleased how things are going at the moment.

No,...I think we would be in MUCH worse shape.

The war on terror would have scared him away, and the United States might have become victim to it again. (I dont think Bush is doing to great of a job though.)

I think the economy might be nearly the same,...the gas prices might be a bit higher. (He had suggestions of a set $3.00 per gallon price.),...and the whole welfare system would be ruining the country again.

I dont know much about the current foreign policy, so I cant really answer that part.

Just some opinions, but I answered a political question with my views, so Im sure Ill be down-rated.

I don't honestly believe that it would. I don't believe that John Kerry would've been any more adept at foreign policy than Bush. The state of the economy is actually pretty strong right now, and the President has much less of an impact on that than people would like to believe. The significant change would have come in Iraq, but I fear that because Kerry was so vague in what he would do when asked about it during the campaign that he would have been just as wishy-washy once in office. Furthermore, I have nothing against John Kerry, but he has the personality of a brick. When it comes to the presidency, personality does count. I don't think that he would've been able to inspire confidence on an any broader scale than Bush. Better to have a President that many people have dramatic opinions about than one that the public is indifferent toward.

I'm certain that the mere thought that John Kerry had even the slightest chance of being elected frightens the HELL out of me!

I don't think anything that man would have done would have helped this country in ANY way!

Yes, but I don't care. That's a problem that Americans and Iraqis share.

Not in any way. He was a coward. The only thing he can do right is marry and divorce rich women. Best think for tjhe country is for him to go away and take Kennedy with him.

Our country would be able to speak with the voice of authority, without being belligerent, we would be more respected, the evidence appears overwhelming that our country wouldn't be in the mess we are in now, had the Commander-in-Cheat not stolen the '04 election as well.
John Kerry wasn't perfect, but he was a damn sight better than W, much more intelligent, and Teresa Heinz Kerry wouldn't have been a cardboard cut-out like Pickles Bush.

I dont think all aspects of the Nation would have been better, but I woul dhope that he had elected better people to advice him. So hopefully some of the issues sourounding President Bush would have been less.

As a English person looknig form the outside.
George Bush is very unpopular in England. He is viewed as an idiotic puppet. (I dont like him but I dont think you can become the President of the Worlds only Superpower if you are a complete fool). I like Tony Blair - but he looks like Bushs puppet at times - so that can be even worse. Problems of England no lnoger being a super power. I love America by the way.
I wish Bush had handled the going to war with Iraq much better. Waited for UN apporval. Had a plan for what to do after the war.
At least he seems to realise that he has created a mess and that it is important not to run away from it.
I dont know John Kerry very well - but if we go back further - I wish Al Gore had won. The problems with Iraq are minor in my opinion ocmpared to the problems we face with global warming.
This will kill many more people than Saddam did or the war in Iraq did. It may even wipe out civilisation as we know it. We no longer need to look at whats happening at the poles etc. the climate in England is notably hotter than ever before. The average night time temperature last December was higher than the normal average for July.

George Bush has stuck his head in the sand re global warming. Is he just stupid or only concerned about making a quick buck?
Al Gore talked about global warming when it was unpopular to do so.

So I wish Al Gore had won.

We would be under constant bombardment by car bombs in the streets of America's cities if Kerry had been elected. Same if Gore had won in 2000.

I felt John Kerry had a better gift of the gap but it did not mean he could be a better president. Sorry, I would rather not speculate on something which could never be reversed. That is history now!
