My girlfriend recently got pulled over for speeding, maybe 10 mph over the spped limit, she looks like a boy...and well the officer put M on her ticket for male and she is FEMALE her name is JOY. Is this grounds for dismissal?

    No. sometimes its hard to distinguish the difference.

    She would have to challenge the officer to prove that she was the driver and hope that he could not. This is unlikely since he wrote down her driver's license at the time. This approach would probably involve some sort of perjry on her part and that would create all sorts of problems. That is a long way of saying, "no."

    No. You can try to take it to traffic court but there isn't a judge on the planet who will bite on that one.

    I did once get mistaken for a girl by a cop once. My only thought was, "Man, I must make one ugly girl." I thought he'd let me off just out of pity.

    If there are multiple mistakes on the ticket, you can argue that the officer has shown a tendency to mistakes, at least on that day, and may have been mistaken when he pulled over your car instead of the actual violater.

    Otherwise, tough beans.
