Help answer this question below.

How do i make my music louder on a speaker that i connected to headphone wires with a headphone jack? cause if i turn it up higher on my mp3 then it isnt loud enough. is there a way to boost this sound?

    THE WAY THAT I GOT IT TO WORK IS TO GO IN START AND TO CONTROL PANEL THEN TO SPEAKER/SPEECH/AUDIO DEVICES MAKE SURE THAT ALL VOL. IS UP GO TO THE SPEAKER SETTINGS MAKE SURE BOTH SPEAKERS ARE ALL THE WAY UP THE USE YOUR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND TURN THE GRAPHIC EQUALIZER ON THEN MESS WITH THE SETTINGS DDONT MESS WITH THE LOW HZ LAPTOP SPEAKERS CAN NOT HANDLE THE ADD BASS BUT THE WILL THE TREBLE MESS WITH THE ONES ON THE RIHT OF THE 500HZ TAP AND THAT SHOULD WORK GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS WAS WHAT YOU NEED

    You need an amplifier to increase the sound. If you have a receiver at home, you could plug your mp3 player in through that, or get an FM transmitter to transmit the player through a radio. There are speakers for this purpose available that have an amplifier in them, but you would need to buy one. Any way you look at it, you'll need to buy something.

    PC powered speaker systems usually fit right into a 1/8 inch stereo socket. If they need RCA adapters, these are readily available from hardware stores or radio Shack. Save the amp on your mp3 player and get a powered system with sufficient volume to meet your needs.
