  • You need a marriage license which requires a 3-day waiting period (can be waived for 'good and sufficient reason'). The following persons can marry you: Solemnization Authority: Marriages may be solemnized by any of the following: • Federal, probate, district, and municipal judges, and district court magistrates, in their court area; • Mayors, in their city; • Wayne County clerks; • Ministers of the gospel, anywhere in the state, "if the minister is ordained or authorized to solemnize marriages according to the usages of the denomination, and is a pastor of a church in this state, or continues to preach the gospel in this state"; • Non-resident ministers of the gospel, anywhere in the state, if the minister is authorized to solemnize marriages by his or her state's laws.
  • May I ask why you are in such a big rush to get married? Did you land a millionaire and you don't want him to change his mind? Marriage is a serious step and very easy to do but not so easy to "un-do".
  • Just go to your local Court house and they will tell you what you need to Do;)
  • Is there anyway I can talk you out of such a calamity? Marriage is just bondage dressed in respectability. If I can't, ah well.... what can I say? Will you be serving crab puffs at the reception? I'm rather partial :-p
  • Seems a fitting test for your lover to solve.
