What was the first video game system you ever played? What game did you play on it?

    I vaguely remeber having a system that you connected up to the TV to play Pong tennis, and all the other kids from the street would come round. Don't know it's name though.

    My first good memory was getting a Sega Megadrive on Christmas Day when I was 8, and it took about half an hour to set up (in those days not many people knew how to tune TVs in my family!), but the rest of that day was spent playing Sonic the Hedgehog! The original game, before all these other daft chracters were introduced.

    If you are talking about home system, the first one I purchased and used was Mattel's Intellivision. The two first games I purchased and played were a Baseball one and a Star War's scene game.

    Besides Pong, I had a friend who owned the original Atari system. I remember playing Space Ivaders, boxing and Missile Command.
